Safety
Health and safety is one of our key priorities and is of paramount importance in everything we do. It is evident through:
- Safety management systems; we are currently working to achieve OHSAS18001 accreditation across the business
- Third party assessments; e.g. Constructing Better Health, British Safety Council and SAFEContractor schemes
- Method statements and risk assessments; health and safety built into all project planning
- Training; industry leading training delivered through our own in-house training division and leading external providers
- Communications; communication of key safety messages through face-to-face, hard copy and electronic channels
In 2009 we launched SAFEguard, an industry leading scheme designed specifically for those working with asbestos. It sets out our requirements for employees to ensure they are competent, medically fit and work to the required standards.
